Wedding Officiant in Niagara, Ontario

A wedding ceremony should sound like the people getting married.

I help couples find words, readings, and rituals that reflect their relationship and the marriage they want to build. Based in Niagara Falls, I serve couples across the Niagara Region.

Your story. Your promises.

I’m Jared Miller, an experienced wedding officiant, minister, mediator, and writer. My experience in ministry and creating personal services shapes the care I bring to a ceremony: listening closely, finding language that feels like you, and giving readings and rituals a thoughtful place.

I am registered to officiate through the Presbyterian Church in Canada. We’ll discuss your beliefs, traditions, and preferred language together, including the place of prayer or religious elements.

Working together

1. We talk

We begin with your relationship, your hopes for the day, and any traditions that matter to you.

2. We shape the ceremony

We choose or develop the ceremony, prepare the vows, and work through the details included in your package.

3. You make your promises

I lead the ceremony and support the people taking part, so you can be present for the moment.

Practical questions

How do we reserve our date?

Start with an inquiry so we can discuss your date and plans. An inquiry does not reserve a date. A 50% non-refundable booking payment reserves your date. The balance is due 30 days before the ceremony; short-notice payment arrangements are confirmed individually.

What will our written quote include?

Your quote confirms the package, any extras, and applicable taxes before you book. Travel outside Niagara and any rush fee are quoted in advance.

Can we add a rehearsal or more consultation time?

A rehearsal can be added to The Promise or The Story for $175. Rehearsal direction is included in The Gathering. Extended consultation is $100/hour.

Can we write our own vows and include traditions?

The Promise includes traditional vows or personal vows supplied by you. The Story adds writing guidance; The Gathering adds dedicated vow coaching. We’ll discuss the readings, rituals, beliefs, and family, cultural, or faith traditions that matter to you, including the place of prayer or religious elements.

How many revisions are included?

The Story includes up to two rounds of ceremony revisions, and The Gathering includes everything in The Story. Additional planning and revisions are agreed in advance and set out in your booking agreement.

Is the marriage licence included?

No. The marriage licence and municipal licence fees are not included. All packages do include marriage documentation and submission.

What if our plans or date change?

Preparation deadlines, rehearsal arrangements, cancellations, and date changes are set out in your booking agreement. Please raise questions about those terms before booking.

Can we inquire before choosing a date or venue?

Yes. You can leave those fields blank or write “Undecided”. Tell me what you know so far, and we can begin a conversation without reserving a date.

Let’s begin with a conversation.

Tell me your date, your venue, and what you hope your ceremony will feel like. We can talk through the possibilities and choose the right level of support.
